Anyone else using their iphone to control roku? What are the pros? I'm thinking about ditching the physical remote altogether. I'm always losing it, and the batteries seem to die at the most inconvenient times. So, I'm wondering if using my iPhone is a viable alternative. Is it actually easier to navigate? And what about typing in search queries? Is that easier on a phone than using the on-screen keyboard with the remote?

Well, from my viewpoint, it's largely about convenience. The biggest plus is that your phone is almost always within reach, so you don't have to hunt for a remote. Plus, some of the apps let you use your phone's keyboard, which is way faster for searching. I also like that some apps allow you to stream content from your phone to the Roku.
