Australia's 2nd longest running vernacular dance academy, and still Perth's biggest community.
The first classes @ JRDA were held in 1995, with Juan Rando taking over as principal in 1998.
Being successful for this long, demands a deep passion and commitment to teaching dance.
Juan Rando hold his staff to a high technical standard, and requires all staff to complete professional development.
Many of our staff are full time teachers with decades of experience and knowledge for those looking for a complete dance education.

A commitment to ensuring students understand material thoroughly before progressing, making for as satisfying an experience as possible for everyone.
- First Argentine Tango Academy in Perth and still the biggest. Tango is Juan's first love and remains a core element of JRDA.
- Salsa Casino (Cuban Style). - Juan introduced the style not just to Perth, but was the first to teach this style in Australia after training in Miami extensively in the 90s.
- West Coast Swing - The third foundational style of JRDA, and still Perth's largest West Coast Swing community.
- Bachata - introduced by JRDA in 2002.
- Mambo - Teaching since 2003
- Kizomba - Worked with and supported the first Kizomba teachers in Perth and continue that passion since then.
- Perth's first Zouk school since 2007.
