Melanie Naumoff
Melanie Naumoff is an instructor in Samba no Pe, and is manager and a member of the Samba no Pe Pro Team. Melanie first began at JRDA in 2005, where she initially began learning Cuban style Salsa. A lover of dancing and performance, she has since that time trained at JRDA in linear style Salsa, Argentine Tango, and Brazilian style Samba no Pe. After catching the Samba bug, Melanie has trained intensively under the tutelage of high profile Samba no Pe instructors, and now teaches and performs in a way that communicates her absolute love of Samba. Her infectious enthusiasm as a teacher and a performer has meant that her classes are energetic and her performances are in high request.
In addition, Melanie is a real life showgirl! She is a core member of nationally and internationally renowned dance company Sugar Blue Burlesque, and performs regularly in Perth. She frequently tours both interstate and within WA, and has performed with international artists and musicians. She was also one of the original Les Satanique Go-Go dancers at Perth’s legendary 1960s retro supper club Deville’s Pad. Melanie is continually engaged in learning new styles, and in addition to Samba no Pe, has choreographed and performed Vegas-style Showgirl, the Can-Can, 1940s style Mambo, 1960s Go-Go, 1920s Charleston, Disco, Burlesque and Cabaret.
